Remotion intro video

Learn something new, with a video

Start a new Claude Code sessionClaude Code — start a new session.

Experience how easy it is to learn something new — using a VIDEO!

Prompt:

Create a video introducing <name>.md use Remotion

Keep it 4 scenes maximum

Replace <name> with your name (you should already have <name>.md from Exercise 2.2).

The agent uses Remotion to render the video. Watch how a 4-scene intro about you appears with one prompt.

Stuck?Debrief — what should have happened

A four-scene video, themed around the person, rendered to disk and probably playable directly from the folder. If the agent asked you to add subtitles, it likely installed Whisper itself to do the transcription.

The lesson: the limit of what your agent can do for you is mostly the limit of words you know. Adding "Remotion" to your vocabulary unlocked a new capability today. The same is true for "FLAMLFLAMLFast and Lightweight AutoML — an open-source Python library from Microsoft Research. Give it a dataset and a metric; it tries model types and hyperparameters and returns the best in a fixed time budget.", "pptxgenjs", "VercelVercelA hosting service. You give it a folder of code; it gives you back a public URL anyone in the world can open — turns your Snake game into a link you can text someone in seconds.", "Whisper", and dozens of others. Claude knows the tools. You only need to know the names.

Stuck?FAQ for this exercise

Q: The video output is incredible — how do I use it back? Are there limits on length, can it do whole series? A: No hard limit you'll hit easily — videos of 6 minutes are doable, you can have it transcribe your own voice and timestamp scenes to match. The reason it works is Claude Code can plan long-horizon tasks and break them into small steps. When asked to add subtitles, for example, it installed Whisper on your machine itself. Combine with the ElevenLabs API for realistic text-to-voice (just provide an API key) and there's no real limit.

Q: Where does the .md file get its information? It now wrote my email in Turkish — how did it know? A: The person.md files were pre-built using Claude — checking public appearances (podcasts, videos, interviews) for each person and patching that information into a [name].md file. For someone with Turkish content in their public appearances, the file knows to write to them in Turkish.

Re-render the same composition for a phone — 9:16 portrait, ready for Slack stories or WhatsApp.

Re-render the video at 1080×1920 (9:16 portrait), shorter scenes.
Same content, optimised for vertical viewing on a phone.

One config change, completely different distribution. Same trick works for square (1:1) for LinkedIn or 16:9 for the all-hands.
